Does rewriting competitors’ ranking content help with SEO?

just rewriting same information different words not really seo strategy. ranking page to understand search intent and see what topics are already working but the final content should bring something useful instead of just being another copy

Just curious if I take content from competitors that are already ranking and rewrite it in my own words, can it actually help with rankings?

Has anyone tried this approach and seen good results?
Yes, it can help, but don’t just rewrite. Use competitors as a reference and add unique value.

Rewriting competitors’ content alone usually is not enough; it’s better to use it to understand what Google expects, then add your own insights, examples, and value.
What matters is how much better and more useful your page is, not simply saying the same things differently.

Rewriting alone doesn't really work well anymore. Use their posts to get ideas, but make sure to add some new info that they missed. Make it better and useful for visitos with data and insights if possible,

Original, well researched content will always be the stronger foundation. Competitor content can be useful for understanding whats already working and covering the topic properly, but simply rewriting it in your own words does not add much by itself. Your own research, experience, and insights are what make the content more valuable and sustainable.

i would assume using ai would help making articles more informative, find gaps, i usually ask my ai to do deep research and give me an article outline and i will decide if its good to develop the content that way, wondering if others have a different strategy
Me too. I use AI to help me search and find information more than for writing. Honestly, the end result still requires that the human touch be added to make sure it is useful.

Everybody here talks about the originality. But we are not scientists nor inventors. We are almost impossible to output something that is valuable and really novel. Most of the time, we stitch existing things together, and AI can do this much better than us.
In this regard, originality does not always equate to the creation of somthing that has never been seen before. It is all about the process, experimentation, and how one puts the pieces of information together.

Rewriting ranking content alone rarely works because it adds nothing new.

Use competitors for research, then improve the topic with original examples, better answers and missing information.

i've done something similar but I focus on understanding the search intent first. just rewriting the same content usually isn't enough.

Simply rewriting competitor’s content isn’t that much effective. Try using their pages to understand the search intent and topics coverage, then add more information, examples, and a bit of your own insights. That’s what values more than just rewriting.

Rewriting alone gives you no real edge. Use ranking pages to understand intent then add better examples and info they missed.

rewriting alone probably isn't enough i'd look at what the top pages are missing and add something genuinely useful.

Yes, Rewriting competitors content work if you use it to understand search intent and add few details.
However just copy-pasting the work of your competitor won't help you rank anymore as the engine search filters out the low value duplicates.
