How often do you post on a Facebook page?

I was reading a book about social media, and it suggested posting 2-5 times per week, not more and not less.

According to the book, this resulted in the highest engagement , maximum support from facebook, Instagram algorithm to your page.

For my social pages, I try to stay within that range. You can test those numbers yourself and see if it improves engagement for you. At least for me, it has worked pretty well.

for most accounts, 3–5 posts a week is a good starting point without burning out your audience. focus more on changing the hook and format than just posting every day, otherwise it can feel repetitive pretty fast.

I think 2 to 3 posts a week is a comfortable starting point.
It gives you enough space to share different ideas without forcing content just for the sake of posting.
Hope it'll helps.

I’d say 3–5 posts a week is a good starting point I prefer keeping a consistent schedule with useful content rather than posting every day just for the sake of staying active
Yes, I believe that consistency is better than writing something every day. It would be better for me to read 3 quality posts per week that will receive reactions from people.

I usually post short videos at four specific times 8:00 AM, 11:30 AM, 5:30 PM, and 9:00 PM depending on the length of the video.

If you do not have anything useful to share, In my opinion it will be better to skip a day than posting something weak.

Agreed. I think TikTok search is becoming a bigger discovery channel, especially for content that answers specific questions. Optimizing naturally for search while keeping the video engaging seems like a better approach than relying only on the For You Page.

A few hours between posts works fine for me. I just switch up the content so it doesn’t feel like the same post over and over

I'm curious what posting frequency people have found comfortable without the content starting to feel repetitive.
Everyday is not really a smart choice, because audience could feel uncomfortable with frequency, they even hide post or unfollow the page from this.
Hence, 3-4 times per week, combine both content and video could be considered, hope this help.

I usually schedule my posts about six hours apart. It seems to be effective, as the view counts remain fairly consistent.

Depends on the niche, but 3 to 5 times a week works better than posting multiple times a day. Giving your top performing posts time to gain traction and comments brings much higher overall engagement than pumping out daily volume

Ideally, post 1–2 times a day, alternating between value-driven, entertaining, and sales-oriented content to maintain strong algorithm engagement without overwhelming or boring your followers.

Posting 3 to 4 times a week gives your posts enough breathing room to clear Meta's initial reach thresholds without cannibalizing performance. If you publish too frequently, your posts end up competing against each other in your followers' feeds, which drops total engagement.

would you believe that some of my followers actually messaged me saying they would unfollow because I was posting too frequently and it was affecting their experience on the platform?
thats why I don’t think posting frequency matters as much as whether your content is actually interesting and relevant to the audience you want to reach. I would rather post less but make sure the content is worth watching than post constantly just for the sake of staying active
