However, I believe that these links from Wikipedia do not have follow attribute, and hence, I do not think they will directly impact on the ranking.You say it actually "boosts SEO", by that do you mean search engine rankings? If that's what you claim that has not been my experience at all. Wikipedia links are NF, and it appears that Google treats them as such. If you have proof of Wikipedia links significantly increase search engine rankings, please provide it here.
The indirect effect might be in the form of entity recognition and referral traffic.
I would consider Wikipedia to be an authority signal rather than a traditional "link juice" tool.
