Are new blogs still able to compete with established sites?

It feels much better harder to get a new blog noticed when the search results are full of older authority websites. For those who have lanuched sites recently, whhat helped you get your first meaningful rankings and traffic?

I think new blogs can still compete but targeting broader keywords from the start can be difficult focusing on specific low competition topics and building strong topical coverage seems like a more realistic way to get early traction.
 
I found that going after low competition, long tail keywords worked best for getting early rankings. I also focused on useful content, solid internal linking, and a few relevant backlinks rather than trying to compete with big authority sites. It took a little time, but the rankings and traffic started to build steadily.

It's much harder nowadays but it can still compete, but going after broad keywords from the start is usually tough.

I’d target specific long tail queries first, build strong topical coverage, and focus on content that actually offers something better than the pages already ranking.

Posting consistently and getting high quality backlinks from highly authoritative and relevant websites to mine.

Yes, that is true, but I would not favor the AI search over real users. Real facts, personal experience, and information which is more relevant to the user’s query than the old sites will help make my blog competitive.
 
If you are competing with them in the same niche then it will really be a tough fight. But if its in a different niche then you have the advantage of using Quality backlinks, creating original content to get organic traffic, then utilize long tail keywords

i stopped chasing general key words on fresh websites specific intent-driven search terms yielded the initial click throughs and i then developed niche topics around these pages

It will take lot of efforts. There are other easier methods to make money online. Like you can make video content on inatagram and get views in less time. Then monetize it on some way.
 
it was mostly patience. the first few months were slow but traffic gradually picked up once the site had enough useful content.
 
go with low competition keywords first and build topical authority before targeting broader topics
 
i'd start very focused. covering one niche well can give a new blog a better chance to get noticed.
 
New blogs can still compete but I would avoid broad keywords early. Tight topic focus and low competition long tails give you a much better shot at getting the first traffic.

You can drive your initial traffic through platforms like Pinterest, Reddit, or YouTube rather than waiting on Google.

The new ones take forever to grows out of the sand box. i thinks u have to create gud topical clusters based on the low competition long tail keywords first.

Yess i quit battling against the huge sites head on. Intent-based smaller topic pages wins me my initial click throughs and from there i branched outwards

I has seen new websites gain traction by focusing on smaller key words with high intent first and then scaling up when google trusts these pages.
