What tool do you use to repurpose youtube shorts ?

Capcut is the best tool for editing and repurposing existing videos IMO.

I’ve had pretty good results with CapCut for repurposing Shorts. It’s easy to crop, resize, add captions, change the hook and make small edits so the content feels more original. For more advanced automation, I’d probably look into tools that can handle multiple formats and batch processing.
 
That is exactly what I am also searching for what I want is some software that could take long videos and transform them into Shorts with subtitles and minimal editing involved.

However, if you wish to repurpose pre-existing video content into new formats, I suggest that you try out some software which does auto-cuts, re-frames the footage into vertical format, and creates captions automatically, and not just rely on FFmpeg. It is crucial to know the platform well.

Can you give me name of tool that will work best for repurposing Tiktok`s to Shorts ?
 
i’ve had better results using tools that automatically reframe crop and add captions rather than relying only on FFmpeg capcut and similar editors are worth testing especially if you want to turn one longer video into several Shorts quickly
 
when you said repurpose you meant like reuploaded with watermark erased?, then ig Capcut for versatility. Or if you're even lazier, MKT Viral from MKT Software, they literally has an intergrated AI that does the edting for you.
 
If you want something beyond basic FFmpeg transformations, tools like OpusClip, CapCut, or Descript can repurpose long videos into shorter clips with captions and reframing. For more control, I'd still use FFmpeg as part of the workflow and automate the repetitive steps around it.
 
I’d go with CapCut for simple Shorts edits. It’s easy to cut clips, add text and set the right size.
