in my view the 6 year old BM will not be the decciding factor. generally, the currency nd timezone are locked by meta as soon as the ad account is created which means there will not be any setting to be changed at all. in case ur existing account has been created with wrong settings, the only thing that will help in ur situation is creating a new ad account.

You can't change the currency or timezone of an existing ad account once it has been created.

If you need a different currency/timezone, you'll have to create a new ad account with the correct settings. Since you already have 2 accounts in the BM, check Business Settings > Accounts > Ad Accounts > Add > Create a new ad account.

If Meta doesn't give you the option to create another one, you've most likely reached the current ad account creation limit for that BM. Having a 6-year-old BM doesn't automatically mean you can create unlimited accounts.

In that case I'd keep the existing accounts as they are and check the Business Info section for your ad account creation limit. Don't try to change it through random workarounds, especially if the BM has history and is healthy.

First, please check whether you have been granted access to that account. If you have administrative rights but still cannot make changes, verify whether the account information has previously been edited, as each account allows such a change to be made only once.

Once an ad account is created and currency or timezone is set, Facebook (Meta) permanently locks those settings for that specific account.

To fix this, you have to create a brand-new ad account within your Business Manager, where you can select your preferred currency and timezone during setup. Just keep in mind that once you choose them for the new account, they can't be changed later either.

Once you add a bank card to your account, the country, time zone, and currency cannot be changed.

Once an advertising account has incurred spend, the system permanently locks the time zone, preventing any further changes.
