I run a site in the medical niche n it's been hit w/ a significant rankin drop lately, no matter what strategy I try I can't seem to recover the previous rankings, for those w/ experience in YMYL/medical, what's actually workin for legit E-E-A-T recovery rn? Author credentials, medical reviewer bylines, source citations, whatever, genuinely lookin for real experience not theory.

For YMYL, I’d look beyond just adding author bios or reviewer bylines.

Clear medical sources, real author/reviewer credentials, updated references, and strong first hand or expert input all help.

Also check whether the pages actually match the current search intent, because E-E-A-T alone probably won’t recover rankings if the content isn’t competitive anymore.

First chck if it's broad core update or something niche specific, YMYL sites get hit hardest by E-E-A-T
related updates. Look at author credentials medical review process and whether any spammy backlinks were added recently. Also worth chcking search console for manual actions before assuming it's algorithmic.

For medical/YMYL sites, Main Focus on genuine E-E-A-T rather than just adding reviewer bios.
Real author credentials, qualified medical reviews, strong source citations, clear updates, and trustworthy backlinks all help.
Important check--> first identify whether the drop is site wide or limited to specific pages before making major changes.

Medical is hardest niche, your author must be a real doctor or well educated (google can track the author from university, social media, research, etc). your site must get citation or refrence in research.
