I run a site in the medical niche n it's been hit w/ a significant rankin drop lately, no matter what strategy I try I can't seem to recover the previous rankings, for those w/ experience in YMYL/medical, what's actually workin for legit E-E-A-T recovery rn? Author credentials, medical reviewer bylines, source citations, whatever, genuinely lookin for real experience not theory.

For YMYL, I’d look beyond just adding author bios or reviewer bylines.

Clear medical sources, real author/reviewer credentials, updated references, and strong first hand or expert input all help.

Also check whether the pages actually match the current search intent, because E-E-A-T alone probably won’t recover rankings if the content isn’t competitive anymore.

First chck if it's broad core update or something niche specific, YMYL sites get hit hardest by E-E-A-T
related updates. Look at author credentials medical review process and whether any spammy backlinks were added recently. Also worth chcking search console for manual actions before assuming it's algorithmic.

For medical/YMYL sites, Main Focus on genuine E-E-A-T rather than just adding reviewer bios.
Real author credentials, qualified medical reviews, strong source citations, clear updates, and trustworthy backlinks all help.
Important check--> first identify whether the drop is site wide or limited to specific pages before making major changes.

What kind of backlinks can you advice for one to get on medical content sit. Of recent I see some pages ranking with this some automated links ending with something like .xyz and the vendor said they links are risk free since they have also prevented Google from indexing the links

Before trying to figure out what’s working, you need to evaluate what went wrong on your website. What have you been practicing lately? Have you previously introduced any Blackhat techniques? In that sort we can figure

ID check what occurred prior to the drop, including any backlink nd impacted pages, prior to making modifications to the entire website.

For health and finance niches, add a real author bio with credentials on every article. Small thing that helps a lot.

If you, as the website owner, don’t have a medical degree, you won’t be able to recover your website. The days when you could invent a fictional doctor as an author and expect it to help are over. Google is perfectly capable of distinguishing fake authors from real ones.
Therefore, there is no point in working on EEAT signals if you don’t have the proper medical qualifications that can be verified. You don’t need to dump all your certificates and other documents proving that you’re a doctor onto your website. You need to connect your website to your social media profiles and publications on other websites that confirm you are a practicing doctor.

Was about to add a polished author bio with a fake doctor name to my site. IvanRF's warning that Google spots invented doctors stopped me cold. Now I'm not touching YMYL without real credentials.

anyway, in any case, the first step that should be taken by me is checking GSC in order to see what page were facing this problem with ranking nd if the whole site had the problem or only specific topics. fake author bios won’t help to solve the problem here. It need to be clear – where does the decrease happen?

You need real doctor reviews and actual medical author bios linked to schema, google hits ymyl sites hard if there is no verifiable medical professional backing the content.

Check which pages and keywords lost rankings instead of changing everything. Make sure the contents are reviewed by qualified medical professionals with author details, sources and updated data. Also, compare the affected pages with competitors to find gaps in content quality and search intent.
