What’s the Best Facebook Ads Strategy You’ve Tried?

Targeting is usually the biggest factor in success. I combine Custom Audiences, Lookalikes, and precise interest targeting. Videos convert well when paired with strong hooks and a clear CTA. Budget-wise, I test with small daily spends and scale what works. Conversion tracking via Pixel is essential.

Hey everyone,
I’ve been running Facebook ads for a little while now, but I’m curious to know what strategies have worked best for you.

Which type of ad (image, video, or carousel) has given you the best results? When setting up your campaigns, do you focus more on targeting, visuals, or something else? And what tips do you have for getting the best results with your budget?

Also, how do you make sure your ads actually convert?
I’d love to hear about your experiences. If you’ve got any tools or tricks that help with Facebook ads, feel free to share them too!
Looking forward to your replies!
For me, video always wins over images, especially short 15–20s hooks. I mostly test audience first, then creative, don’t waste money guessing both at the same time. Retargeting warm traffic is where you really get ROI. Tools? Just Ads Manager + a spreadsheet to track what’s actually working.

high creative ads always work bro, depends on your niche you should take ref from other big pages to have some reference, after that use your creative brain to boost your content and run ads (one more key is that videos always go better than pics)

For me, video ads work best. I focus on targeting first, then adjust visuals. Start with a small budget to test, then scale what works. Use clear CTAs and test landing pages for better conversions. Facebook Pixel and Lookalike Audiences help too!
Starting off small is definitely the way to go. In addition,I would monitor post-click activity as well as CTR since clicks are worthless unless the landing page converts. Lookalike targeting is far more effective after sufficient conversion data has been gathered.

In my experience, video tends to be most effective when reaching new audiences (cold traffic), though this depends on the specific offer. I prioritize creative content and the offer first, before considering audience targeting.

An effective advertising strategy still focuses on content and building a trustworthy image; by consistently updating the account with trending information, you can achieve greater organic reach.

For me, the biggest difference usually comes from the creative and the offer I’d rather test a few different angles with a small budget first then put more money behind the one that actually gets conversions
