Do clients even know the difference between a good backlink or bad?

most clients don’t really know. they usually look at DR , DA and maybe traffic.
for me, relevance, real traffic and a clean site matter more than just big metrics.

Most clients don’t. They usually see DR, DA, or “********” and assume higher is better.

That’s why it helps to explain relevance, real traffic, placement, and whether the site actually ranks before talking about metrics.

Experienced clients usually look at traffic and relevance but non-technical clients often just focus on the DR/DA numbers.

Some clients definitely know the difference, especially those who understand SEO beyond basic metrics.
Others mainly look at DA or DR, but relevance and link quality matter much more in the long run.

Eventually I guess. If it does not do any good, clients will start looking why it is not working. With the AI and all it is easier to spot such issues. Take it from me. I didn't know anything about the quality of it and once I started seeing "Spam" and zero traffic On hrefs I stopped and started actually purchasing meaningful guestposts to the websites with traffic.
