From my father's small CARGO business to building my own successful business!

Hey BHW, Petar here! I'm 19 years old from Macedonia and I want to share my journey to building my own successful business with like-minded people like you!

I first started working in my father's small freight bussines when I was 9 years old when he started the business with no employees and without his own office.

My making money online journey started 5 years ago, I made my first bucks sending fake traffic to Trovo streaming platform back in the days and made my first 100$.

Then I started making thumbnails for youtubers and started learning more about graphic design.

After that I started my creative agency making designs for local businesses, making a few hundred dollars a month, nothing too serious. I still run the creative agency to this day.

And about a year ago I started learning about e-commerce and opened my own shopify store selling Chinese products here in Macedonia.

I bought the products from Greece and smuggled them to Macedonia, a bit criminal but it is what it is :) .

Also about 3 months ago I went to Turkey to find textile suppliers to sell clothes here in Macedonia, but the prices were very expensive, so I found a local supplier with a good price and started selling t-shirts online.

Right now my creative agency is still active and makes about a few hundred $ monthly, and my shopify stores for t-shirts and Chinese products.

Currently, I moved from my small town to the capital city to study graphic design.

My goals are

1. To take my creative agency to the next level.

2. To buy a Porsche Panamera in 5 years.

3. Create a successful clothing brand in 1 year.

You are truly consistent and dedicated to your work.Keep it up brother.

Are you selling in North Macedonia?
Yes! North Macedonia is my main market. It’s a small country, but there are still plenty of opportunities if you find the right product. I’m now preparing to expand into Albania and Kosovo as well.

Thank you, brother! I really appreciate it. Consistency has probably been my biggest advantage. Let’s see where this journey takes me.

I’m from North Macedonia, and I’m doing something similar, but in other niches. I was skeptical at first. When I started in 2016, there wasn’t much demand in North Macedonia, and people were skeptical too.

It’s great to see your progress. Keep up the hustle!

Thanks brother, really glad to hear this, especially from someone from North Macedonia who has been doing this since 2016. I’d actually love to hear more about what you’re doing and how you’ve seen the market change since then. It’s always nice to connect with someone from here who is in a similar business. Feel free to DM me, I’d be happy to exchange some experiences.

Small Update – August 2026

Lately I’ve started using Claude and AI much more in my everyday work. Instead of only using it for writing or ideas, I decided to try building something that actually solves a problem I deal with every day in COD e-commerce.

Right now I’m building my own app that should basically replace a lot of the Excel sheets and manual tracking I’m doing. The idea is to have Shopify orders, Meta Ads, delivery statuses, returned and delivered orders, cash flow and inventory all in one place. I want to automatically know how much money I’ve actually collected from COD, how much is still stuck in shipments, how much I’ve spent on ads and what I’m actually left with as profit. I’m also adding an AI part that will analyze the numbers and point out things I should probably pay attention to.

Nothing revolutionary, I’m just building a tool around the way I personally work because I realized that as the number of orders grows, Excel and manually tracking everything starts becoming a mess. Claude is also helping me build the actual app, so we’ll see how far I can take this.

It’s kinda funny looking back at it — I started this journey trying to figure out how to get a few Shopify orders, and now I’m building my own system to keep track of all of them. :D

We keep going.

Small Update

A while ago I was listening to a podcast and something really stuck with me, in business two things matter a lot, what you know and who you know. After almost two years in e-commerce I feel like I’ve slowly built both. I’ve learned a lot, mostly from my own mistakes, and along the way I’ve met a lot of people from different parts of the business. Because of that I’m now slowly getting into the logistics side of the business as well. I don’t want to say too much about it yet because nothing is officially launched and this time I want to build first and talk later. All I can say is that the idea came from problems I personally had when I was starting with e-commerce. If everything goes as planned, I want to make some of those problems easier for people who are already doing e-commerce or maybe want to start somewhere in the Balkans. That’s all for now, I’ll share more when I actually have something to show you guys.
