Tried Bing Ads for the first time, honestly surprised by the results

Yea its pretty normal, i just run both and let Bing bring the extra cheap conversions.

Do not compare Bing only by traffic volume. Compare it by cost per lead and return on investment. That's what really matters.

Yeah its normal, Bing traffic is usually lower but CPC can be cheaper, i would run both and compare the conversion data before cutting one.

Bing has it won ways to work. Something have a huge traffic compared to Google and most things won't even get impressions. It's just upto your niche i guess :)

yeah the volume is always going to be a fraction of google, thats just how it is. but one thing to watch out for on bing is their partner network. they default you into syndication partners which can bring in a lot of junk clicks. if you imported directly from google ads, make sure to check your distribution settings and maybe set it to bing owned and operated only. for local services though, the older desktop demographic on bing actually converts really well for things like home repairs or plumbing. keep both running but just babysit the partner traffic.

Its not a surprise lol .Desktop users are mostly business users. And bing is mostly desktop users and such. Seeing as the windows phone flopped etc etc.

yeah i think lower traffic is normal on Bing also you can run both and see which one gives better results.

Yeah @UrbanClicks is right about the partner network, definitely turn that off. Another thing that messes up local campaigns on bing is the location target settings. If you did a direct import from google, bing loves to default to targeting people "interested in" your location instead of just people actually "in" it. It's way looser than google and you'll end up paying for clicks from cities you don't even service. Change that to "people in" and you'll save some budget. Definitely keep it running though, the traffic is low but the lead quality for local services is usually worth the maintenance.

i think you can try running both because bing usually has lower volume but the cheaper cpc can still make it worthwhile.

Bing wont match Google on volume, but thats not really the point. If the leads are good and CPA looks better, keep it as a second channel.

Yeah definitely normal. Bing volume is tiny compared to Google but if the CPA is good there is no reason to turn it off. Just let it run in the background as a supplement. One thing to watch out for though is that Bing can sometimes take forever to spend even a tiny budget... you might need to bid a bit more aggressively than you would on Google just to actually win the few searches that do happen. Otherwise it just sits there doing nothing.
