For me, yes, it’s worth it. I’ve been in the casino business for 6 years, and I’d still consider launching a crypto casino today, but I’d do it very differently from my first project.
A few rules I’d stick to:
• Don’t build everything from scratch. Use proven casino software for PAM, payments, game aggregation and back office. Your advantage should be acquisition and retention, not rebuilding infrastructure.
• Start with one GEO and one acquisition channel. Going worldwide from day one makes it almost impossible to understand your CAC and LTV.
• Keep enough runway for at least 6 months of testing. Getting the casino live is the easy part; finding profitable players is where the money goes.
We used NuxGame for the technology side, and that saved us a lot of development and integration work. They’re also exhibiting at SBC Summit Lisbon 2026 at stand A326, so if you’re there, it’s actually a good opportunity to meet the team and compare the platform in person.
So yes, I’d do it again. Just don’t try to become a casino operator, software company, payment integrator and compliance team all at once.
