Honestly still don't know if i should niche down more or stay board?

Been going back and forth on this for weeks now. Bored topic feels safer in case sub topic dies out, but keep reading
that niching down helps rank faster since Google can figure out what you are actually abt
anyone actually tested both approaches on different sites? which one worked out better for you long term.

I've been wondering the same thing. Broad feels safer, but everything I've read says Google rewards tight topical authority early on. Would be interesting to know if anyone started broad and still ranked quickly.

I’d go niche first. Build strong topical authority, then expand into related topics once the site gains traction.
 
I think the audience is more important than how broad the niche is. If people find your content useful, you can add more related topics later.
 
I’d start a bit narrow and expand later. Easier to build authority around one topic first, then you can branch out once the site gets some traction.
 
I’d start focused, but not overly narrow. Build strong topical depth around one core subject first, then expand into closely related areas once you’ve established some authority.

from my point of view, be focused yet leave enough space for other topics. It is going to be much easier for you to extend the scope of your activitie when you get some recognition nd traffic.

I’ve tested both. For long-term SEO, I prefer starting focused/niched, building topical authority, then expanding into closely related topics. Going broad from day one usually makes it harder to establish a clear topical identity.
 
I've seen better long-term results from niching down first, then expanding once the site has built some authority. Google can understand a focused site more easily, but the content still needs to genuinely help users-not just be narrow for the sake of SEO.
 
I would narrow it down, check for what my audience is engaging with, then focus on that with the intention of expanding when I have gained enough authority.
 
lean toward starting focused then expanding once you’ve built strong topical coverage clear niche usually makes content planning and authority building easier while going broad too early can dilute the site’s focus.
 
This allows building authority in the subject matter and facilitates Google to understand the website. Having gained the authority, it becomes easier to explore other subjects associated with the existing niche.
