this actually makes alot of sense ngl like ppl act like AI suddenly made everyone lazy thinkers but realistically the ppl who never bothered engagin deeply with stuff before probably wouldnt of anyway, ai or not

its more about mindset/curiosity level then the tool itself imo. like ive seen ppl use google lazily for 15+ years way before AI was even a thing, so this "outsourcing ur brain" thing isnt rly new either

question tho — do u think its possible for AI to make an already lazy thinker EVEN lazier tho? like even if it doesnt create the trait, could it amplify it over time n make the gap between "thinkers" and "non thinkers" even bigger then before? genuinely curious on ur take

It is absolutely terrible, but thankfully my parents have realized how useless AI can be in a lot of cases, especially Google / Gemini, where they get a different answer every time they Google something.

i strongly believe education need a full revamp - instead of the usually memorize and regurgitate out the content, we will to educate our future generaiton on critical thinking that enables them to differentiate whast right and wrong.

100% agree with this the whole memorize-and-forget system is so outdated, feels like we're preparing kids for tests instead of for life lol

critical thinking should honestly be its own subject imo, not just something that "happens" while learning history or w/e. teach kids how to actually evaluate info, spot bias, question sources... that stuff matters way more in the current age of misinformation everywhere

curious tho - how would this even look in practice? like what does a classroom teaching critical thinking actually look like day to day? more debates? case studies? cuz i feel like a lot of teachers still dont kno how to teach that way even if they wanted too
