It would be nice if I had figured out search intent much sooner. So much tym were spent chasing high volume keywords with no result. In my opinion the search engines results page tells you more about whats to target than the keyword tool.

Yeah.exact matches are very tempting at the beginning. I feel that varying and keeping the anchors relevant in the future will be much better and safer.
 
It has been too late for me to realize that putting in more effort doesn’t always result in better performance the proper execution of SEO based on the facts is much more important.

i think when you enters in seo you must know that it is long time thing, it cannot give you result in months or two three weeks, you must have patience and second thing you must know that seo has been changing over time and you must keep in mind new trends and techniques of seo particularly off page and on page seo

That rankings are entirely rented and not owned. No matter how perfects you are you may be hit by a core updates at night, so does not puts all ur eggs in one basket or domain.
 
Took me way too long to realize hreflang and canonical tags need to be perfectly consistent across every language version — one mismatched entry and Google just ignores the whole cluster's signals. Spent weeks thinking my content was underperforming when it was really a technical tag issue the whole time.
 
that search intent matters more than kw optimization took way too long to click. spent ages optimizing pages for keywords while completely ignoring what Google actually wanted to rank for those queries.

For me, it took way too long to realize that SEO isn’t just about rankings. Understanding search intent, creating genuinely useful content and quality backlink made a huge difference.

100% agree. I've even witnessed inferior backlink profiles outranking very well-linked sites due to a more relevant piece of content being created. Links are important, but they won't fix a poor website or lack of intent.
 
One thing I took way too long to grasp, ranking is not only about going after keywords. It’s about the reason people are searching, how solid the content actually is, how internal linking is set up, and the whole site authority picture. I assumed it was more keyword focused at first, I did not see it clearly enough.
 
I wish I understood earlier that SEO is a long game I spent too much time chasing rankings instead of focusing on useful content search intent and building a site people actually trust
 
i also learned that getting more backlinks does not necessarily lead to better rankings.i used to put all my efforts into getting lots of links in the past but later on i understood that quality and good content were far more important than the number of links.

Yes, exactly. The internal links will only work if the destnaton serves the user’s purpose; otherwise, you are merely passing on the relvance to a poor page. My advice would be to improve the content/intent mismatch before doing anything else.

Wish I knew SEO takes months, not weeks, to show real results.


Also wish I focused on solid basics early instead of chasing every new trick.
 
one thing i learned was that every keyword does not need a separate page.i spent way too much time making hundreds of pages when i could have improved the pages i already had and probably got better results from them.
