Is it possible to take down a FB private group?

If you see on there page that what they do is against FB rules, you can easily report them to FB support and they will take action.

You can still use the group link to submit a report directly to Facebook's system, even if you aren't a member of the group. If you are an administrator, the process is very simple, it takes only about 24 - 48 hours to receive a response from the system.
 
Why the hell are all the comments here repeating themselves like robots, surely written by AI?
 
Just report the group to fb, and it doesn't matter it you are in the group or not, anyone could report
 
Reporting from the outside using just the Group ID rarely works unless the group name/description explicitly violates TOS. To actually get a private group taken down for selling prohibited goods, reports need to be submitted on specific posts from an account that is already inside the group.
 
You can report the group but if you are not a member will be harder to get it done and make a difference you are better to be a member first
 
you can also report that regardless of whether you member or not. But if you do it makes things a little bit easier for sure. However if you are seriously concerned with it i recommend reporting it.in case it is illegal or very harmful there is a chance that it will deleted.
 
use multiple warmed up accounts to report. report the same way. if you do not have multiple accs find groups that help to do it. there are many groups do it.

although you cn report a private fb group if it breaks rules you do not need to join the group to report it if you have enough details thats okay this is my knowledge the review time can vary so there is no fixed time for removal. just keep eye
 
if you not member of group you not delete the posts yourself.but if you see someone selling prohibited items you can report the post to facebook and let them review it
 
If the group is genuinely being used to buy/sell prohibited items, Meta can aboslutely do something about it. Well, assuming enough report gets to them. It's a lot easier then trying to gain direct access to the group.
Now, whether the group ID alone is enough for Meta to investigate is another thing. No guarantee how long it takes for enforcements to kick in.
Everything under Meta falls under their rules, including private groups or accounts so yeah. Be as detailed as possible with those reports, it'll help.
