I still pay attention to YouTube SEO because it helps the algorithm understand what the video is about Good titles descriptions and keywords are useful but I think strong thumbnails watch time and audience retention have a much bigger impact on long term growth

honestly yes I still focus on SEO while ranking my videos, the title, caption, tags , decription each of that matters a lot

Yeah i still do basic youtube SEO. Titles, keywords and descriptions help discovery, but imo it is retention and viewer satisfaction that determines where the video will go from there

I still consider YouTube SEO important mainly because it helps the right audience discover a video. Strong titles and relevant keywords can improve visibility but they cannot make up for content that viewers quickly lose interest in. In my experience valuable content and strong audience retention have a much bigger impact.
Yes I think it is definitely worth doing. but rather than spending all your tym on tags and keyword stuffing i think you should focus more on your title, thumbnail and retention.

You can still do YouTube SEO provided that it cost you nothing. Focusing on watchtime and engagement is the best for me.

SEO still matters, just not like it used to. I still do basic keyword research and optimize the title/description, especially for searchable stuff. But I wouldn't waste hours stuffing keywords everywhere.
Good topic + thumbnail + retention will move the needle way more. SEO gets you in the door, people actually watching keeps the video alive

utube SEO works for me as well especially when u want to promote ur video via search. i just would not invest many hours in fine tuning tags and keywords. instead i would concentrate on making the best possible thumbnaiil and first 30 seconds of my video.

I do basic seo mostly in order to inform Youtube about the content of the video. after that it looks like the behavior of the viewers becomes much more important than only key word stuff.
