Do you personalize every connection request?

It depends on who I'm reaching out to. For someone I genuinely want to connect with, I'll write a short personal note. For general networking, I usually keep it simple.

When possible, always. And it's best done with people who are already second connections. Otherwise the connect rate goes way down.

A brief note about your common interest or any obvious reason to connect is always perceived as being more authentic. I prefer personalizing my requests when there is anything relevant that I can mention and not in all cases where I send a request.

it is my general preference to keep things brief. if there was anything particular about the request which got my attention, then I may mention it. otherwise a general request is perfectly okay. what matters is that it feels autthentic.
it depends on whom I am approaching.if I really want to reach someone, then I always go for a shorter and more personal approach.otherwise I normally do not think too much about the message when doing regular networking.

this has been my experience as well. when there is a real reason y i wish to make contact, i will mention it in a brief stattement but mostly j just keep it short and sweet.

same goes for me I personalize only when there is something personal to personalize on. ordinary networking require just an ordinary request.

I usually decide after checking their profile first. If their work or posts seem relevant to what I’m looking for, then I’ll send the request. Otherwise I just skip it.

If it is someone worth connecting with, I personalize the connection request. Otherwise I don't bother connecting with him/her at all.

I will personalize only when I want to develop a relationship with a person. while networking in large number all that is needed is simply an ask, although even a little bit of personalization can work wonders.
