Has Instagram become harder for small creators to grow?

I think that now it has become more difficult for small ones but with the right content they can definitely build their audience.

Not understand that IG has on new fresh account a sandbox of of 4 weeks ? After that period you can scale up fast as you can.

A lot of people who offer servives- with the right funnel- not offer anymore low ticket and mid ticket on IG, they cut that out offer straight to the point high ticket services. There are influencers who making $2-3mio in their first year.

Small creators can still get noticed but it feels like the margin for average content has become much smaller a strong hook and consistent posting seem to make a big difference now

If anything, it’s become easier because the volume of traffic has grown. People just tend to choose oversaturated niches.

I still think that Instagram is the easiest way to go viral as I'm seeing. Like a guy with a pillow sleeping and talking about married people problems got 50k followers in a week without spending a shit.

You need to be funny and somehow a bit racist in there to grow up much faster lol.

I see a lot of people saying Instagram now favors established creators more than newer accounts. If you have started a fresh account recently, what has your experience been? Is consistent growth still possible without paid promotion?
i have seen new accounts grow without paying for ads but those initial weeks are incredibly frustratingly slow. i guess that instagram takes some time to figure out what kind of content u are sharing. but once some posts actually begin generrating watch time it starts growing really fast.

From my experience starting fresh is tough without paid promotion, but not impossible the key right now is reels and DM shares. If your content gets sent around in group chats, the algorithm will pick it up regardless of account size

When the Instagram algorithm does not know who to show your reels to, your content gets low reach or stops showing up in the feed. This happens because your profile lacks a clear niche or your video signals are mixed. You must hace your face on cam, faceless reels gets way much less visibility, your content, your captions and 3 hashtags (not more) must give a strong signal to the algo, otherwise your reel will go under. And at least post to the right time US time as example. Influencers posting more than one reel a day.

Easy, check and analye influencers reels from your niche how they look like, then compare it to yours. Learn and adopt from them is not that hard, not do the same, have a little unique twist.

Organic growth is entirely possible without advertising, as long as you create engaging content that keeps viewers hooked for the first 3 seconds. Create videos that make viewers want to share them via text message.

you can still grow a smaller account organically just your retention signals needs be stronger. so reshares, resposts, saves need to be absolute priority, second signal is first 3 sec hook.

If you see an increase in followers but a decrease in reach, as you asked before, I would check audience quality and content-audience fit before blaming account age.

i m still quite a novice on instagram but then again i do not believe an account thats just beginning will be completely lost. after all one needs more time for buillding their presence nd reputation in the beginning. anybody managed to succeed without any following whatsoever?

You should mainly focus the niches that have a low audience from this you can build your audience yourself following this algorithm many people and creators have created space for them in Instagram.

I think small creators can still grow organically, but it may take longer to build momentum. Strong content and consistency probably matter more than follower count when starting out.
