Is Blogspot still viable for SEO nowadays?

With all the recent Google updates, i'm considering using Blogspot blogs as satellite sites to push authority to my main site, is this strategy still effective at all?
Yes, but only as a supporting asset. Blogspot still gets crawled and indexed well, but using it as a satellite network to pass authority isn't nearly as effective as it was years ago. Real websites with traffic and editorial backlinks provide much better long-term SEO value.

Blogspot can still work, but maybe not as some shortcut for passing authority. If you use it, treat it like a real site, with unique, helpful stuff and build it over time in a natural way. Those thin pages made only to point back to your main site add very little value and they can turn into a problem later, after Google’s updates. At the end the quality, relevance and real usefulness matter far more than the platform itself.

It still works, but I wouldn't depend on it alone. Quality content matters far more than the platform, and I'd avoid using Blogspot just for direct money-site links.

I think Blogspot can still have a place but i wouldn't rely on it just because it is a Google platform if the blog has useful content and looks like a genuine standalone site it may still have some value platform itself matters less than the overall quality and purpose of the site

Blogspot can still be effective if it aligns with the overall website strategy, thanks to its ability to be quickly indexed by Google and the opportunity to rank for low-competition keywords.

Blogspot blogs can still have a bit of value if they’re built like genuine, content-rich websites. But if you use them just as satellite sites to pass authority, it works much less after the more recent Google updates. Better to center on making real value, useful pages, and natural connections rather than leaning on Blogspot as a quick link building shortcut.

Blogspot still works only if treated like a real site but as a satellite pbn for link juice it's mostly ineffective & easily ignored today

Never saw any human being coming on this forum to ask it seriously, maybe in 2012 it was a thing, nowadays only bots are spamming this kind of crazy questions and people flood the same obvious answers

It extremely good for targeting low-competition keywords at scale to expand the site's overall search and footprints audience rate rapidly increase.

Yes blogspot is good if you want to create a blog that is focused on something it can still get indexed fast and get audience but i will recommend in combination with social media presence

It depends on the scale of the website. If you are building a large scale site targeting a massive user base, i wouldn't recommend it,it is better to hire developers to build a custom solution for long term growth. However, for simple ecommerce sites or small-scale service promotion, i think it is a good idea it saves a lot of money while remaining effective.

blogspot can still be useful if you treat it like a real website with original content and a clear purpose in my experience a handful of well maintained properties outperform a large number of thin blogs created just for links

They can still be useful if they publish genuinely valuable, niche-relevant content and aren't just used as link farms. I would treat them as a supporting channel for building topical presence rather than relying on them

It may still work if you build the blogs properly. Just creating a few posts and adding links is usually not enough now.

afaik however they get indexed without problems but i will not recommend you to use them for authority increase anymore. If you use Blogspot try to make every one of them appear as a actual separate website not a particular bunch of links.

blogspot can still work for basic content and indexing but i would not rely on it as a main authority building strategy anymore Google has become much better at identifying low quality satellite networks if you use it focus on creating useful content and real value rather than just placing backlinks quality and relevance matter much more than the platform itself
