From what I’ve been seeing, Reels still seem to have the strongest potential for reach, especially when the first few seconds are interesting enough to keep people watching. Carousels can also perform really well when they provide something useful that people want to save or share. Stories feel more useful for keeping existing followers engaged rather than bringing in a lot of new reach. I think consistency and watch time matter more than relying on one specific format.
Reels have been dominant for cold engagement but carousels are getting much more engagement and saves these days. I tends to run a combination of both reels for getting new eye balls and carousels of 5 to 8 slides to convert them.

Short Reel with strong hooks have worked best for me lately.
from what i have seen there is no wining format left anymore. the reels will get the reach for u but the carousels will get higher quality engagement bcz of the longer time spent on them. creators today are trying to make posts that will feel like a conversation nd include good hooks, interesting experiences, advice nd even things that ppl would love to share with their friends.

Reels. Just post reels. You will get a very high exposure rate by posting reels since that is what Instagram is pushing to new users
