Do you trust older domains more than new ones ?

Yes, especially aged with clean history, mostly works anytime.

For me, domain age is a positive sign, but it is not enough on its own. I care much more about the quality of the content, regular updates and whether the site looks trustworthy. I have seen plenty of old domains with poor websites and brand new ones that are excellent.
 
an older domain may look good at first glance, but it does not necessarily mean its trustworthy. i now give more importance to a websites relevance, quality content, organic traffic, and overall performance. if a new domain is strong and well maintained, it can also deliver the best result.
 
It’s not so much the age of the domain itself, but rather how well-known the brand is. After all, even in 2026, many brands will still be just starting out. That’s why the age of the domain alone doesn’t mean much, especially when they can be bought out or acquired so you should trust the brand, not the website.

i check the age of the website too although i try not to be too affected by this aspect. it is great when a website is old but not so great when the content is old or the website is negllected.for me i would prefer a new website that publishes updated content over an old neglected website.
 
Yeah, I think domain age definitely creates an initial trust impression, especially when you see a site that’s been around for years.

But ultimately, quality, content, reputation and real authority matter more than age alone.
 
I trust older domains more than new ones because of backlinks but before you go for an old domain check if the domain have been punished by Google or not.
 
domain age gives me a positive first impression but i wouldn't rely on it by itself i'd rather trust a newer site with useful content and a clean reputation than an old domain that's poorly maintained
 
Yes i check the domain age but is not the primarly method i use to count the success of a website , authority is far more important corelated with age of the domain
 
Yeah, especially since checking a domain isnt really a problem nowdays through GPT and you dont even need to use other services
