How you handle this one? Weekly is under the noise floor. Positions jump around and report that say 14 then 11 then 15 then 12 just make him nervous for nothing.

What works ok for me is reporting what we did weekly (published this, fixed this, built this) and results monthly. He see work happening and stop panicking.

Anybody has better system? Specially ppl with lot of retainer clients, at some point reporting become job by itself.

If it’s serp tracking - Just send them a live SERP tracker instead.
 
Maybe there's a way to automate it these days.

Can set up an agent or similar defining what to include in a weekly digest and what sources to use.
 
Weekly updates for completed work, then monthly reports for rankings and traffic. This keeps expectations realistic and avoids overreacting to normal fluctuations.
 
I send a short weekly update showing completed work and important progress. For rankings, I prefer monthly reports because they show clearer trends and reduce stress caused by daily fluctuations.
 
Yes you can just do that by sending task been done and at the end of the month you can present everything together by the rankings and all other information
 
best option is to have a live rank tracking link to the client, may be also through client's Ahrefs and also a weekly update on all the tasks completed, I am sure that will be more than enough.
