Has Anyone Noticed Facebook Rewarding Inactive Accounts Lately?

Yeah, that’s a real pattern people have noticed — Facebook often gives temporary “re-activation” exposure to dormant accounts to see if they’ll stick around again. It usually fades fast unless the posts get strong engagement signals.

I think it's just a coincidence, because I have a huge number of old inactive accounts, and nothing I post there gets any views.

Older accounts with a spending history always have an advantage over newer accounts, even if you haven't been active on them for a while. If you know how to nurture the account, it can become a very strong account that you can take advantage of.

It’s a classic "Re-activation Boost." Meta’s algorithm often grants high-authority visibility to dormant, aged profiles to hook the user back into the ecosystem, but beware—it's usually a "honeymoon phase." Once you start scaling or pumping link-heavy content, the AI will re-scan your digital fingerprint and the reach will normalize unless your engagement signals stay organic.

Dormant or not, aged accounts will definitely perform better than new accounts.

Might just be retesting so the algo knows if it should continue to give reach

It might not be a reward — more like an algorithm test phase.
If early engagement is strong, it continues. If not, it drops fast.

if you make post after very long time then facebook will push your content. it will also send notification like this person had make post or story after very long time.

Perhaps Facebook is encouraging you to participate and is therefore giving you a gift.

That's Facebook's "trigger signal" to get you to use the platform more often. But this high reach is only temporary.
