Are Bloggers Spending Too Much Time Creating and Not Enough Time Improving?

bloggers are grade with the niche and tools available in updating for readers, creating of plagiarism content and copypaste are not an option but used with many blogger which limit they convert rate in traffic generate.

Both are important, but old content updates are underrated. A few edits, better keywords and fresh info can make a big difference.

Updating your old posts will generally give faster results if you have some level of authority on your website. personally, i write new posts untill i reach about 50 to 100 posts and then concentrate on optimising my old posts.

For me if you use both you get ranked and stay ranked better.
 
updating old contents has proven to be effective in many instances.an article that is regularly updated will outperform many other articles.it is important that you not only create new content but also take care of updating the old one where necesary.

i have gotten more mileage out of rejuvenating older content than by continuously producing fresh stuff. occasionally all that needs to be done is shifting the perspective a bit including some missing elements and updating any out dated information.

Well In my case I have fixed and worked more on old published contents, made similar posts and link back to those posts and did some web 2.0 submission on the published ranked posts...

i have experienced better results in improving my posts compared to producing new posts consistently. There are instances where the page is almost ranked and only requires quality information, internal linking or improved intent matching.

Improving older content is often more effective. Older posts already have good potential and history, so updating the information, improving the structure, and targeting the search intent better can give them quite a noticeable boost.
 
I always get more bang for my buck by checking Google Search Console for underperforming posts, then jazzing them up with better headlines or images. Sometimes a tiny tweak sends older posts back up the rankings. On top of that, if a topic gets a lot of questions in comments or on socials, that’s my green light to refresh it so it keeps working for me in 2026.
 
generally I tend to view the data from search console before making any decisions about whether or not to revamp an old post.if a particular page has had zero impressions in months then normally i dont waste a lot of time on it since i would prefer creating a new piece of content. however if it is currently ranking somewhere between pages two or three then even small things like tweaking the title or filling in gaps in the content will usually help it get to a higher spot quite fast.
