for new sites in the affiliate program i believe that going slowly nd gradually is a better idea. a natural link profile that is relevant to ur niche will have much more value than simply tryying to get lots of backlinks. what is more important now is strikking the right balancce in all aspects of SEO.

Topical relevance has given me better results than high DR metrics alone.

That's a solid approach for new affiliate sites. I also focus on relevance and consistency over volume.

Patience is part of the strategy with fresh domains.
I'd rather build 5 strong relevant links each month than 100 low quality ones in a week.

That sounds like a sensible approach. Building relevant, high-quality backlinks gradually looks much safer than chasing volume, especially for new domains. Consistency and strong content usually outperform aggressive link building over time.
