How good is medium for traffic generation?

I wonder if anyone is actually reading what I am writing or it's just random posting with ai for nothing really, most replies are completely useless rehashing the same thing over and over again "it can send some traffic but blah blah"..

I think Medium is good for getting some initial exposure, especially if your content gets picked up by the right audience. I would not rely on it as my main traffic source though. I see it more as a way to build visibility and send some referral traffic back to my website.

Medium has amazing built-in authority, so it is great for quick traffic if you target long tail keywords. However, they are incredibly strict with promotional links, so you risk a ban if you push products aggressively. Focus on value first, keep the linking minimal, and use it as a syndication channel.

I've found Medium useful for building visibility, but not as a primary traffic source. If your articles are genuinely valuable, they can bring steady referral traffic over time.
When promoting a product or service, keep it relevant and avoid making the content feel like an ad. That's a much safer long-term approach.
