Can competitor steal my meta ads?

I have this friend that I think is secretly copying my business. I’m not aware of his account. I have some meta ads posted that are doing well. Can he just straight up steal my video and post it himself or would facebook end up copyrighting his ads right away?

I copied many ads in the past, just a few adjusts and nothing happens, maybe I was lucky, who knows
but even so, your friend can be innocent ... there are many guys stealing ads through spy tools to find competitors

Downloadable advertising posts can be easily edited and presented as your own, so I think you should be careful with your advertisements.

currently, the same problems happened a lot. you can try to insert the logo/brand name/hotline into your ads.

Anyone can steal your ads. They just need to change a few details and it will become their own ad.

Someone can copy a video but that does not mean their campaign will perform the same Original branding and creative quality usually matter more over time

Facebook will not always detect the copycat ad right away. You should try to use the copyright reporting tools that Meta has for copyrighted material if the video was made by yourself, but it is always best to keep track of all your source material just in case.

No meta would do that, because there are still people who use multiple accounts just to post one ad.
I think you can report the violation on his fan page.

Yes, they can copy your ads. Meta doesn’t always detect it instantly.
If it’s your original content, you can report it, but protecting your brand is the best move.

Absolutely do not share any more information about revenue, customer base, or upcoming content strategies. You should place your logo or brand name directly in the center of the screen.

If they know your facebook page name, they can search for it on the facebook ad library. But I don't think the ad library is updated frequently, it takes time for ads to appear there. Assuming your ads are showing up there when searched, then yes, they could steal/copy your ads.
