I am interested in learning digital marketing but I am not sure if its still a good field to enter.

what opportunities are available for beginners in digital marketing today?

It’s still a great opportunity because 90% of the value always comes down to finding clients and making them feel comfortable. The problem, however, is that these clients are increasingly turning to agencies that leverage AI more and more intensively. So, in the long run (15 or 20 years), the volume of work will likely keep shrinking.

The case of McKinsey is particularly striking, as they were forced to lower their service pricing structure: https://www.ft.com/content/8318a754-7b63-4f1f-8978-7691e7ed3511?syn-25a6b1a6=1

It is a sector with no ceiling. As long as you can get customers online for businesses you can get paid hundreds of thousands USDs or euros per year.

Monopolizing a working method in this era of saturated digital marketers boosts the chances of hitting results for clients, the goal while you learn is to try things you've researched and found that nobody has done, try to master the method and milk from it for a long time before sharing it for others to know or write it down as an e-book to earn more money from sales.

I think digital marketing is becoming less about individual tactics and more about building systems using AI, as you are waay more productive if you know what you are doing and you use AI for help. So, you can create content, write ads, analyze data, create products, but businesses still need people who know how to turn those pieces into revenue. Right now, the hidden opportunity is probably bigger than ever...

Digital marketing is definitely still a strong career in 2026. If you stick to BHW rules and focus on ethical methods, there are plenty of opportunities to grow.

Glorified data entry at best, if you go conventional and try to find agency work.

With the advent of AI, yes it is. AI can easily help you complete work much faster in digital marketing today. Learn what skills you can sell in digital marketing i.e. what interests you most.
AIfy it.

Yes, digital marketing is still a strong career in 2026 because businesses continue to invest in SEO, social media, content marketing, paid advertising, email marketing, and AI-powered marketing to grow online. Skilled digital marketers remain in high demand across many industries.

I will advise you not only learn how to run ads but building backlinks, SEO. If possible, learn video editing with it.

Digital marketing is still a solid field to get into, especially if you're willing to keep learning. Beginners can start with SEO, content marketing, social media management, email marketing, PPC, or even affiliate marketing and there are plenty of freelance, remote, and in-house opportunities to build experience.

Bruh, hell no, you need to understand what Claude does and navigate it based on your own knowledge. I saw a dozen sites (and not only sites tho) ruined by Claude and a guy who thought smth like this: "I don't need SEO claude can do that". Of course, there are some exceptions, but in most cases, a guy without knowledge sucks. Even in coding, for example, that's why in the near future coding will still be a good skill to have (in terms of monetization)
