[GUIDE] Future-Proof Backlink Strategies: Build Once, Benefit Forever (2026 Edition)

Nice breakdown @Topiano. One thing i run into doing this at scale is burning through ahrefs export limits pretty fast... i usually scrape the top 100 serps with scrapebox first, then throw them into batch analysis to save some rows. Also yeah @Pixel Omar88 is right about the media kits. Almost everyone wants a fee now, but honestly paying a real site that doesn't openly advertise guest posts is still way better than buying from those public database sheets. Looking forward to your cleanup process.

This had been posted an d you'd find it on stage 2.

Sure, Glad that works for you.

Same here. Ahrefs gave me a massive competitor list. How do you shortlist the most relevant ones?

YEP ,these are all organic traffic sources.

Thanks for sharing. Could you also make a guide on how to grow a brand-new website from scratch? I think it would help a lot of beginners.

This is very close to what I do for backlinks and I recommend to people to do. It's the only guaranteed way you can get links from sites that would surely boost your SEO. I use semrush.
Agreed. Looking at competitors with Semrush is a solid approach. It helps you find backlink opportunities that are actually moving the needle.

I also use this backlink reverse lookup method, but I find it hasn't really optimized for my case. I reverse-lookup nearly the top 5 competitors and try testing by going back to their quality backlinks. But my site isn't making progress, even though my on-page content meets the requirements and is of higher quality than my competitors (my personal opinion).
