I completely agree. Rankings can bring people to your website, but user behavior is what actually tells you why they stay, or why they go away. Heat maps and session recordings tend to uncover problems that usual SEO metrics never show, like a confusing menu, weak calls to action, or little snags in the forms. Fixing those small UX bits can end up having a bigger effect on conversions than chasing another keyword position.
 
Yes this is true most people ignore user behavior, tools like microsoft clarity help you see what users actually do not just rankings, fixing ux issues can improve conversions & even rankings over time
 
This is huge ranking factorr that people ignores. if google see users leave your site within seconds because of bad design, it make sure your content did not answer their question.

This is very true—one of the most underrated parts of SEO is actually understanding user behavior after they land on your site. Tools like Microsoft Clarity or similar heatmap/session recording tools help reveal what traditional SEO tools can’t, such as where users click, where they drop off, and what causes confusion or friction. You can have great rankings and traffic, but if users don’t engage or convert, the SEO effort loses impact. In the end, SEO brings people in, but user experience decides whether they stay, trust, and take action.

eatmaps show you exactly where people get confused or bail, way more actionable than guessing from analytics numbers alone.
clarity being free makes it weirder that so few people bother setting it up
 
Agreed. Technical SEO brings people to your site, but what happens once they’re there It’s sometimes more effective to implement some minor user experience optimizations that are supported by actual evidence than focusing on some other metric
 
I agree Microsoft Clarity is a very underrated tool It shows how real users interact with your site

which often reveals issues you would never find by looking at rankings or traffic alone

I have found it really useful for improving user experience

Looks promising. If it performs as described, it could become a valuable addition to my SEO toolkit.
 
I completely agree. Getting traffic is only half the job. If visitors leave without taking any action then ranking alone would not help. Looking at real user behavior can show problems that are easy to miss.
 
Absolutely agree. SEO gets visitors to your site, but UX decides whether they stay or leave. Microsoft Clarity is a great free tool for understanding real user behavior.
 
I agree rankings and backlinks are not everything paying attention to how real users interact with your site can teach you a lot seo brings visitors but a good user experience is what keeps them around
 
Microsoft clarity is quite heavy, i would prefer userheat... It's free.. But it doesn't have video recording.. Only heatmap
 
I think user behavior is one of the best ways to find hidden website problems. Real visitors can show you what needs to improve.

Agreed. Rankings bring visitors, but Clarity shows what they actually do after they land. Those insights are often more valuable than chasing another backlink or keyword.

Something that could be added is that session recordings are most beneficial when you tie the action back to a specific page objective. While it may be fascinating to watch users rage click or leave certain sections, it is much important to fix that friction and then see if anything improves. This is something that most SEO audits lacks entirely.

Couldn't agree more. Rankings get the click, but user behavior drives results. Clarity has helped me spot UX issues that analytics alone never revealed.

This is why i like Clarity bcz there are times when it brings out issues that would otherwise not be seen with rankings and analyticss.
For instance, you might feel like adding some more information on a particular web page, but after closer inspection, you will find out that people never get to that area on your website.
