Sometimes I feel like the internet was more fun a few years ago. Forums felt more active, people shared real experiences, and there was less AI-generated content everywhere.

Do you think the internet has improved, or do you miss how it used to be?

It's over, there is a huge wave coming; faster than everything before and we all are already relicts of the old days… Nothing to improve, nothing to safe if we don't get our minds straight and see to what the H+ movement (transhumanist) are pushing us....

The internet is faster now, but sometimes it feels like we traded authenticity for convenience.

I know how you feel about this. I have the same problem with programming. A few years ago programming was really fun to me and I enjoyed working on projects. Now everything is AI generated and feels like it is not even your own code.

I miss when forums had real arguments and useful advice. Now everyone has a professional profile picture and a motivational quote they didn’t write.

Honestly, I don't interact with people on forums now. 98% of them are just different AI models.

i miss those years but we all have to find a way to improve with all this changes unless we will be stock in the past

Very common problem you mentioned. Those who joi ed this forum in early days would be on this end of missing for sure.

Internet became mainstream here in my country when I was a teen. It was more exciting back then because I had to pay a fortune to be online. Don't have that excitement anymore.

But there is a good point because of this. Like the entry barrier to use internet has reduced. It provides access to internet to everyone at affordable prices.

I do miss it. The old internet felt like smaller rooms full of actual people – forums, niche communities, everyone leaving real replies. Now most of it is a handful of huge platforms and half the content is AI filler. Places like this forum are kind of the exception that keeps the old feel alive.

It was a novel thing back in the day. While I often look fondly at the early discussion board era of the interwebs, I wouldn't say I miss it all that much. You just had to be there though.

yes I missed human expressions and experience's in words , now a days all content looks same due to AI
