Does artificially boosting followers on a new fanpage to increase credibility have any impact on the page?

If you boost your follower count with the right target audience, it generally won't harm your Fanpage; in fact, it can actually boost credibility when potential customers visit.
However, using fake followers or attracting the wrong audience can lead to issues such as:
Low engagement rates.
Difficulty for the algorithm to accurately identify your interested audience.
Limited support for future conversion campaigns.
If you are running conversion campaigns via Pixel, the Pixel optimizes based on purchasing behavior rather than follower count. Therefore, I prioritize reaching the right customer segment over simply increasing the number of followers.

This is actually right by boosting your follower count with the right target audience, and thanks for the information

Yeah this is pretty much how I see it too a smaller audience that actually cares about the content is way more valuable than a big number with no real engagement

I haven't had any problems doing that with my page.

Yes, increasing the number of followers can be beneficial, but it can also be very harmful if you can't control the number of followers and the actual engagement rate.

genuine follower who interact with your post are far more valuable and less likely to create problem with platform algorithms. Artificially boosting followers might improve the appearance of a new page but it rarely helps with real engagement or long term growth.

I think it won't have any impact, but over time it will drop, so we still have to prioritize genuine registrations.

Targeted followers can improve credibility, but fake or irrelevant followers usually hurt engagement and audience quality. For conversions, I focus more on reaching the right customers than increasing follower numbers.

your perspective is spot on based on practical experience, targeted followers build social proof and nurture the funnel, whereas fake followers poison Pixel data algorithms and waste ad spend

A high follower count may create a good first impression but real engagement is much more important People usually notice active comments shares and genuine interaction more than numbers alone A smaller active audience often brings better results than a large inactive one

this perspective is spot on because building targeted followers enhances social proof while keeping your Pixel data clean, whereas conversion campaigns ultimately rely on real ROI from genuine leads rather than vanity metrics.

That's right; if those numbers are just an illusion and don't bring any benefit to the page, then I don't need them either.

I wouldn't buy followers unless they're genuinely interested in what you're selling.
That's the thing. SMM panels don't offer real followers but bot followers. Therefore if you buy followers they can only be used as a vanity metric.

It largely depends on your specific goals. If you want rapid growth, you could buy followers, but that doesn't generate the genuine engagement needed to attract your target audience; instead, focus on creating content and investing time in interacting and responding promptly.

The only time buying followers works is when you get the new page and the new content also boosted, and then run ads on it. I had many awesome results with this tatics, but once again, only running paid ads. If you intend to do that for organic reach, all you'll get is a shadowban at best (and the account termination at worst)
