when starting a blog there is a lot of advice available and it is easy to focus on the wrong things.
looking back at your blogging journey then what is one mistake you wish you avoided earlier?
i think learning from real experiences is more valuable than just reading guides.

my biggest mistake was publishing too many articles without proper keyword research. once i started focusing on search intent and content quality then i got much better results.
 
For me, it was publishing new articles nonstop without updating the old ones. I spent months chasing more content when improving existing posts would have brought better results with a lot less work.
 
It's necessary to make mistakes at the beginning to learn from them. That said, the biggest common mistake is spamming the blog at the start to get visits, since it's very difficult to get them organically.

I spent too much time trying to get everything perfect early on just publishing, learning and improving would’ve saved a lot of time.
 
For me, it was publishing content without proper keyword research. creating content people are actually searching for made a much bigger difference than writing more posts.
 
One mistake I made early on was publishing articles without paying enough attention to internal linking.
 
A bloggers top mistake could be writing what they want to say rather than, what people are searching for
Like absence of keyword strategy, and checking search data
 
I wish I had spent more time understanding my audience before choosing topics.
Knowing what people actually search for makes a big difference.

Agreed. Understanding your audience first can save you from creating a lot of content that nobody is actually looking for.
 
I spent too much time targeting high competition keywords instead of finding easy wins. Ranking small keywords first builds traffic and confidence.

Use more than one free tool instead of paid tools. Purchasing expensive tools much too soon. You do not need to be paying any dollars per month for SEO tools or writing tools when you are only receiving 10 to 20 hits per day on your site. Get started with cheap tools or even free ones. You have to maintain concentration at work.​

Not posting consistently and not doing internal linking enough.

I Spent too much time worrying about tiny SEO details and not enough time publishing useful content, Looking back, Consistency mattered far more than trying to make every post perfect.
 
These mistakes they make:

a) be in an conqered niche by big media news sites
b) have a lot of crawl waste their "first class cms" produces
c) have no pillar pages yes it's necessary nowadays even if it's a buzz word form SEO and marketing agencies in the world web - google not says this
d) not build topical authority with search intent on your blog which is not possible or much less when it sits on the same website as subfolder (and yes use a subdomain is a bad idea for seo)
e) writing blog posts that not trigger your target audience or remarkable enough so it gets scraped form AI overview

Think about it- think deeper before do business actions , why all these seo andmarketing agencies telling you these buzz hypes, who are not the truth? A system of liars......

Yes that too, when you not understand your audience , the different social platforms you will not get leads and sales.
