Does Quora Traffic Still Convert better than Social Media traffic?

Hey,

I have been testing different traffic sources recently and noticed that visitors coming from Quora seem to stay longer on websites compared to some social platforms. I have not scaled it properly yet, but the engagement looks interesting. For those actively using Quora, do you focus more on answering trending questions or older high-ranking ones? Also, how do you add links naturally without making the answers look too promotional?

Would love to hear what’s currently working for beginners.

Quora converts better because you can get warmed up buyer traffic. That is if quora let's you to drop link and don't hide your answers. Which is often the case now a days.

Targeting high rank older question because it brings traffic. I add links, it gives genuine help.
 
In my experience, Quora traffic can convert better than regular social media traffic because people on Quora are usually searching for specific answers or solutions already.The intent is ,much stronger compared to random scrolling on platforms like facebook or instagram.

Quora can work but it's stricter on retaining your links on your comments/posts. You've got to genuinely help other people and position your links as help to your potential customers's problems.

In some niches yes Quora users are usually searching for a specific answerso they are more problemaware than someone scrolling TikTok or InstagramThe downside is volumeQuora can convert better but it usually won’t send huge traffic fast
 
I am sharing my personal experience that I have noticed, quora traffic can sometimes convert better because people are already looking for answers or solution when they land on your content. The traffic volume may be lower than social media, but the intent is often stronger. For beginners, I must say focus on answering questions that are already getting views and engagement. When it comes to links, they usually work best when they genuinely add value to the answer rather than being inserted just for promotion.
 
I focus on questions that already have consistent views, then add a useful answer first and only include a link if it genuinely helps the reader.
 
It depends on the niche and how you approach it. What I have noticed is that Quora users come with a learning or problem-solving mindset, while a lot of social media traffic is more passive, just scrolling, liking and moving on. The conversion comes from authority and relevance, not just from placing links.
 
I Usually answer older questions that already rank well because they keep bringing views over time, I Only add a link when it genuinely helps explain something, Otherwise I leave it out.
 
I would not add links to every answer. Building trust first usually works better than trying to send traffic immediately.
 
I'm curious about this as well. Has anyone compared the results from Quora traffic versus Reddit traffic over the long term?

prioritize answering older high ranking questions because they generate consistent long-term traffic, and only add links when they genuinely add value to the answer, preferably at the end to avoid looking promotional.
