How good is medium for traffic generation?

Hey guys, need some advice from people that have experience with medium.

- How good is medium for traffic generation? Is it worth investing time in adding a post once per week there and doing some comments on relevan articles?

- If it's a good idea, how hard is it to do without getting banned by them if you promote a product or service but not aggressively

Any other advice concerning medium are welcomed, thanks!

I've found Medium can be useful for visibility, but I wouldn't rely on it as a Primary traffic source. Consistent posts and genuine engagement seem to Work Better than adding promotional links to every article.
 
I think Medium can still be a good source of traffic but I wouldnt rely on it as the main one if you are publishing useful content consistently you can get some readers over time

when it comes to promoting a product or service I d keep it subtle and make sure the article provides real value first that approach usually works better than being too promotional
 
I have found Medium can send decent referral traffic, Especially if your articles provide real value, I keep promotional links to a minimum and focus on writing helpful content first.
 
Medium can be worth it for traffic if you post quality content consistently and keep promotion natural rather than overly sales focused.
 
Medium can bring some traffic, especially if your content is genuinely useful and matches the audience there. I wouldn't rely on it as a primary channel, but publishing consistently and avoiding overly promotional posts can make it a worthwhile long-term strategy.
 
The best way to gain an unfair advantage is to achieve search engine ranking through another website; this will place you very high in the search results and exponentially increase your traffic.

You should have figure it out that Medium is not a traffic source. if it was it would've been allover the forum.

What i think Medium is good at is pushing a persona or a product.

For example if you type my name in google the 1st answer is some news when i got arrested 8 years ago for some stuff:))) but now is sorounded by Medium links and other with articles that i published about "counciesness research" and A.i.

People who read Medium are not dummjes. Theres no money to be made from them. I suggest you don't waste to much time on it and focus on sometjng else.
 
I'd give it a shot, especially if you already have content you can repurpose. I wouldn't expect huge traffic, but I've seen it send a steady trickle of visitors over time.

Well not all good sources are public and sometimes people don't put in the needed effort to achieve the desired result..

If medium ranks that high then this is exactly what is needed, post stuff there, rank high - send traffic to your site :) if it works for a name wouldn't it work for lower competition keywords as good?

Well content is hardly the problem nowadays that AI is here.. :D Not looking for huge traffic, any targetted traffic is good plus just getting the brand out there helps as well, thanks for the input
 
I wouldn't rely on it alone for Seo, but it's a useful channel alongside your own website. Medium can be a good source of referral traffic
 
Medium is good for occasional exposure & traffic spikes but it's unreliable for consistent traffic or conversions so it works best as a secondary channel to repurpose content & drive user back to your main site

Thanks for your input guys, any tips and tricks on how to do a better/faster job there , there must be some shortcuts that would help :)
 
medium can send some referral traffic if your content is useful but i would not depend on it. post community, engage naturally and avoid making every article a promotion for your product or service.
