Whats SEO habbit has consistently delivered results for you over the years?

SEO chnages constantly, but some habits seem to remain effective regardless of algorithm updates. whether it's content planning, internal linking, technical optimization or something else what practice has consistently produced positive results for your websites or clients over the years?
One habit that has consistently worked for me is regularly updating existing content instead of only publishing new pages. Pair that with strong internal linking and a few relevant quality backlinks, and rankings tend to stay much more stable through algorithm updates.

Of all the habits that i have practiced, the one that seems to be the most effective is not assuiming that each page should have a brand new backlink or re write bcz of something that is currently trending in SEO. What i have found works better is improving content on a page that is close to the number 1 spot but just falls short.

Staying consistent with useful content improving on page SEO and building real quality backlinks has always delivered the best results. Simple work done regularly beats chasing every new SEO trick.

As for myself, the most useful habit is watching what happens to a page after a person lands on it instead of just observing its ranking. The point is, if a page has impressionns but a visitor rapidly goes back to the search results, there should be something wrong with the content in it or its purpose. Working on such weaknesses has been more effective than posting additional articles.

matching content to search intent properly has never stopped working either. and building genuinely relevant links rather than chasing volume.
