Is it true that Reddit is becoming stricter because of people who spam the platform?

Yes the reddit is a big platform and although reddit members are very tech savy and can spot obvious promotions there is still members who are sneaky and are a lot of them who try and even promote succesful their products/service so is kinda self promotion but much harder to spot compared with other platforms

its not the members spotting spam thats the change, its the automated side that got way stricter. fresh accounts and repeated links get filtered before a human even sees the post. the sneaky manual promo you mention still slips through fine, its the bulk stuff getting nuked now

It does seem like Reddit has become more strict about spam and low-quality activity Accounts that contribute useful posts and engage naturally appear to have a much better chance of lasting longer

Not true at all. I don't know why would you believe in that sucker, he doesn't know anything

Recently, Reddit has become much stricter with moderation, and spam is being detected and penalized very quickly.

Reddit has always been focused on community quality, but the growth of automation and aggressive promotion has made enforcement stricter. In my experience, accounts that behave like real community members tend to have fewer issues. Adding value is still the best long-term approach.
