is pinterest traffic fake?

I wouldn't call Pinterest traffic fake, but I've seen a lot of people overestimate its commercial intent.

Pinterest users are often in discovery mode rather than buying mode. Someone saving a recipe, outfit idea, home decor inspiration, or fitness tip isn't necessarily ready to purchase anything. That can create huge traffic numbers with surprisingly weak conversion rates.

Another thing to check is whether the traffic is actually landing on pages that match user intent. I've seen sites get hundreds of thousands of Pinterest visits, but the visitors were looking for inspiration while the site was trying to sell something immediately.

If you've tested multiple niches and consistently see high traffic with almost no conversions, I'd start digging into metrics like time on site, pages per session, scroll depth, and return visits. Sometimes the issue isn't that the traffic is fake. It's that the audience is much earlier in the buying journey than traffic from Google Search, email, or direct visits.
i have decided that is not a suitable platform for conversions
yes traffic is high
but intent is very low
i will try to monetize with ads maybe

I think the traffic from Pinterest is genuine, but it's possible that your product isn't the right fit for the platform or its audience.

For fashion and recipes I noticed traffic is high but buyer intent feels low. nutra can be harder because pinterest users are not always ready to purchase.

Pinterest traffic is real, but its quality depends on your niche, keywords, and how well your content matches user intent. Try to check what you are doing well if it’s matching to their terms of conversion
What niche do you suggest?

That's a fkn massive red flag that ur traffic is either bot/incentivized/mismatched-intent garbage, not a "conversion problem" — hundreds of thousands of REAL visitors across 3 diff verticals w/ literally zero conversions doesn't happen organically, so audit yer traffic source b4 touchin the offer/funnel at all

i tried multiple niche:
fashion
food recipe
nutra

i get hundreds of thousands of traffic
i never get conversion
Have you checked the engagement metrics beyond clicks? A lot of Pinterest traffic can be low-intent, so focusing on audience targeting and landing page relevance might improve conversions.

Peoples on pinterest in my experience don't usually leave the pinterest platform so if you promote outside links it may be challanging and also the public is mainly female audience so what you offer may not fit this audience . Did you think at that?

it seems to be more of a traffic quality issue rather than a trafic issue. some niches will attract thousands of visitors at once but if these visitors do not have intentions to buy anything then u will not see conversions. i would study the pages that bring the most interested users nd would pay attention to intent oriiented keywords.

I'd check whether the promise in the pin matches what people see after they click. Even a small mismatch between the image/title and the landing page can kill conversions while traffic still looks great.
