How long does a new page take to get traffic?

it usually takes around 1 to 3 months before a new page starts getting regular traffic. Some pages are faster, but most need a little time.

Traffic and indexing are not the same thing. A page may be indexed in a matter of days, but organic traffic typically takes two to three months.

hey everyone,

just wondering what everyone has experience with this.
when you publish a new page then how long does it usually take before you start seeing some organic traffic from google?
i have noticed some pages get indexed quickly but do not seem to get many clicks for a while.
curious to know what timelines other are seeing these days.
If you're just talking about indexing, it can happen pretty quickly, often within a few days, though 2–4 weeks isn't uncommon. If you want to speed things up, submit the page through Google Search Console using Request Indexing, add a few internal links pointing to it, and make sure your XML sitemap is up to date. As for traffic, that's a completely different story. A page can be indexed for years and still receive little to no traffic if it isn't targeting keywords people are actually searching for or if the competition is too strong. Assuming you're relying on organic search and not running ads, the traffic you get will ultimately come down to your keyword strategy, content quality, and ability to rank for relevant searches.

Depends a lot on domain age and authority in my experience - a fresh domain can take 3-6 months to see steady organic traffic, while an established site with good internal linking can start pulling clicks within a few weeks of indexing.

In my experience, it usually takes a few weeks before a new page starts getting consistent organic traffic, although it depends a lot on the competition and the site's authority.

usually i see first impressions/indexing within days, but real organic clicks often take 2–8 weeks

Most new pages start seeing some organic traffic within a few weeks to 3 months, though competitive keywords can take much longer.

New page need time to build trust and relevance before traffic pick up.

I usually give a new page at least 1to 3 months before judging its performance. some pages start getting traffic quickly, while others take much longer time.

During the initial weeks, i am more concerned with impressions than clicks. as long as the impressions continue to increase, google has begin to test the page. In case there is zero impressionn for many weeks, then it can be concluded that the page needs improvement in internal linking or relevancce to search intent.

Depends on your niche, quality of content and luck is also a factor for fresh websites. Can take days or even months.
