How to plan strategy for publishing articles for better authority?

I'd build the foundation first with a few in-depth articles that cover the main topics, then add smaller posts that answer related questions and naturally link back to them. Focusing on one topic cluster at a time also helps create a stronger topical authority, making it easier for both readers and search engines to understand what your site is really about.

300-400 word articles are a perfect length for supporting content. They help cover specific questions while acting as "bridges" that link back to your main pillar, which is exactly how you build strong topical authority.

Hi, hope you are all well.

I have 2 websites and plan to open another one, and one thing has stuck on my mind last few days, how strategically to publish articles for better authority?

Should i post first most important in depth written article and then post smaller articles and link to the main?Or vise versa?

And what about categories of the niche, first finish with one category then start other? for example at the beginning book reviews then authors of books and so one...?

I came accross words topical silo, can you give me a real example and share something that i havent asked but is important?

Thanks
I would write a few in depth pillar articles nd then write supporting posts that would link back to the original articles. Some people prefer to finish one category beffore moving on to the next. The order does not matter as much as strong internal linking nd consistent publishing.

Focus less on the number of words. A well-written 300 word piece that addresses the question thoroughly is better than an overly long 1000 word piece. I would first develop a map of the entire topic, and then write the pillar, followed by the support articles sequentially, so that they all link back to each other somehow.

I'd start with a strong pillar article, then build supporting content around it and connect everything with internal links. Think in topical clusters than random posts.

It does not make sense to pay much attention to the no of words used in the supporting articles since some topics require just 400 words while other topics will need more than that. What counts is making sure that user intent is covered well enough.

One important point that I see getting overlooked is preparing the content map before the writing of the articles. The pillar page is a great tool to use, but you have to base your articles on user queries rather than write them just to create additional links.
Moreover, do not get carried away by article length, since a 700-word article that answers a specific ques in full is much better than a 3000-word article full of useless information.

Big pillar post first, then link all sub-posts back to it.

Finish one category completely (like 10 reviews) before moving to the next.

Silo means keeping it clean: Main guide <-> Sub-reviews. Don't link to unrelated stuff.

Crucial tip: Skip huge keywords. Target micro-niches first to get easy traffic.

The order of publishing is what most people talk about, but I believe the larger benefit lies in structuring the connections between pages before even starting to write them. Gud connections that help every page reinforce each other are more Beneficial in building the authority than only having a large pillar article. Also, do notconstrain yourself in writing the exact article length.

Build topical authority by publishing one comprehensive pillar article first, then add supporting articles that interlink within each topic cluster (silo) before expanding to the next category.

But I would also consider the timing of the publication in addition to what is being published. i ibelieve that it is best to release all of the articles on the topic cluster within a short period of time rather than releasing them at different times, since this way the topic cluster develops all together.

Answer every single question a buyer could possibly ask about your niche. Covering the entire topic from start to finish builds massive trust with search engines.

I think focusing on one category first is better. Complete a good amount of content around one topic before moving to another category.

Do not be concerned if your supporting articles contain 300 or 1,000 words. ensure that every article contains a complete answer to a particular question. An effective 500 word article is much better than expanding your article to meet the word count requirement.

Build topical authority by publishing interconnected pillar and cluster articles consistently, then strengthen them with strategic internal linking and high-quality backlinks.

I prefer building one topic cluster at a time. For example, cover book reviews first, then move to authors and other related topics.

Start with the main articles first then build smaller posts around them That feels more organized to me

Focus on one topic at a time. Publish a strong pillar page first then support it with related articles linking back to it. This helps build topical authority.
