New Telegram Channel - Best Ways to Promote Organically?

Just launched my new Telegram channel. It's been 2 months, and I can't seem to get any members to my channel. And I'm pumped to grow it with real people. I created the channel two months ago ( 09 May 2026). Right now, I have only 30 members. What is a good way to promote and attract genuine people? Any suggestions or experiences you can share? Ads are also on the table. If you know tips, come on, drop them. Appreciate any advice!

30 real members in 2 months is not bad when you are starting from scratch. try promoting your channel in relevant communities , do a few cross promotions with similar channels and post consistently. if you have a budget , telegram ads can definitely help bring in targeted members.

I'd promote it where your target audience already hangs out instead of relying only on Telegram. Good content plus a steady traffic source usually works much better.

I believe one good idea is to add your channel to public directories and platforms. Google public directories and platforms for Telegram, you will find a lot, I believe. Just make sure to add them to the right category and write a good title and description to be SE optimized.

Directories are mostly dead imo, mostly just bot traffic and other admins looking to scrape your members. @user000X if you have some budget, skip the official telegram ads platform for now because the entry barrier is way too high unless you go through an agency, and even then the ROI is meh for small channels. instead, find 10-15 small to medium channels in your exact niche and message the admins directly for paid promos. you get much better conversion. also do not sleep on telegram search seo... make sure your channel name and username have high volume keywords. people search directly in the app way more than you think.

List your channel into Websites where Telegram channels are listed. Make sure to describe your channel aswell! What is your niche?
As you mentioned, you can advertise your channel through the Telegram advertise function to selected Telegram channels.
