What type of videos helped your channel to grow the most?

Hi everyone,

I want to know which type of videos helped you to grow the most ?
YouTube shorts helped me to grab the attention of the viewer because mostly people spend their free time to scrolling it and if your content quality is good and people likes it then it sticks with the viewers feed and your channel become popular. After gaining good attention and subscribers you can easily rank the long videos as well.

Explainer videos have worked really well for me. They attract people looking for clear answers have good search potential and often continue getting views over time if the topic stays relevant.

"For pure subscriber growth and velocity, YouTube Shorts has been unmatched this season. Long-form is great for revenue, but if you want to grow a channel from scratch quickly, repurposing viral vertical hooks is the easiest way to feed the algorithm and build an initial audience."

From what I have seen, the videos which keep growing in viewersship are those which solve problems or answer questions that are being searched for. viral videos may get instant views, but it is the practical videos which make for gud repeat customers which helps in growing .

Instead of chasing short-lived viral videos, stay consistent with evergreen, problem-solving content and basic tutorials. This is your ultimate traffic puller. It might not explode overnight, but it guarantees a steady stream of organic views and builds a highly loyal, high-converting subscriber base for the long run.

Selection of niche is such a bbig task. Everything depend on your niche, your reach, followers etc...

Long-term growth always goes to deep-dive tutorials and problem-solving videos because they continue to get steady, evergreen search traffic for years. but if you’re looking for explosive, quick subscriber spikes, short-form comedy or trending meme style videos are best . The sweet spot is in mixing the two.
I agree with your opinion.

What made me surprised about the videos was those which covered just one single topic instead of being related to broader subjects. They did not become popular overnight but continuied to get steady view counts every month. it is also interesting to note that sometimes updating thumbnaills and titles for old videos could give them a new life.

Any niche can you give you great views, depends how you create the title and present it to the viewers, along with the thumbnail and video content.

Having said that, the most explosive niches are entertainment, gaming, celebrity critique niches , these are always going to be ever-green and the general population loves entertainment.

I'm curious about this too short value packed videos seem to get the most attention but I'd love to hear what has worked for others

Tutorial videos helped me grow because viewers found them useful and often shared them with others.

honestly, i think consistency with good hooks, value, and targetting viral trends/memes on an ongoing basis. as they say "the path will reveal itself as you walk it"

tutorials and step by step guides have worked best for my channel people appreciate clear practical content that helps them solve a problem or learn something useful which has led to better engagement and steady growth

there is no fix answer to this questioN. it all depends on your channel niche. certain video will work exceptionally well for one but failed for another. So, just try creating content that people will relate and be yourself.

Pretty easy these days to increase traffic/engagement by utilizing shorts traffic, the issue is conversion of that traffic since it’s pretty low quality and not long form suitable.
