Hello BHW,

With AI powered search becoming much more common I'd like to know what your experience has been with seo in 2026.

Is seo still improving website rankings the way it used to or has the overall strategy changed significantly?

Do technical seo high quality content and authoritative backlinks still have the biggest impact or have new ranking factors become more important?

I'd like to hear real opinions from people who are actively working on seo projects because I am planning to purchase seo services for my website Before making a decision I want advice from experienced professionals so I can better understand whether seo is still a strong long term strategy for improving rankings and organic traffic in 2026 or if the approach has changed considerably

If you are currently managing seo campaigns I'd really appreciate it if you could share your experience insights and any recommendations every suggestion will be helpful

SEO is still a strong long-term strategy, but the focus has shifted. Technical SEO, high-quality content, and authoritative backlinks still matter, but success now depends even more on matching search intent, topical authority, and creating content that's easy for both users and AI search systems to understand.
AI search has changed how content is surfaced, but it hasn't replaced SEO. The sites seeing the best results are those that combine helpful content, strong internal linking, real expertise, and relevant backlinks rather than relying on any single ranking factor.
 
You're going to hear a lot of people say it's changed a ton due to AI and how we incorporate that into our strategies, but in a weird way, I would say it hasn't changed that much because at the core of it all, the focus still remains the same. High-quality content aimed at high-intent searches and from there you still have your link building and so on.
 
The fundamentals haven't changed much. Good content, strong technical SEO, and relevant backlinks still produce the best long-term results.
 
From what I've seen, SEO hasn't become harder, it's become less forgiving. A few years ago you could rank with decent content and backlinks alone. Now you also need topical authority, a strong brand, good UX, and content that deserves to be cited by both search engines and AI systems. The fundamentals are still there, but execution matters much more than before.

SEO is still a strong long-term strategy. AI has changed how people search, but quality content, technical SEO, and relevant backlinks remain the foundation of good rankings.
 
One change I've noticed is that SEO has become much more about prioritization than adding new tactics. Five years ago, you could publish a lot of content and see results if some of it ranked. Now I'd rather invest in a smaller number of pages, update them regularly, improve internal links, and build authority around those topics. AI has increased the amount of content online, so maintaining quality over time seems to matter more than simply publishing more. That's probably the biggest shift I've seen in 2026.

SEO still works in 2026, but success depends more on search intent, topical authority, and user experience alongside quality content and backlinks.

SEO has few changing in 2026 like GEO and AEO is a different way to optimaize your sites .
 
The core is still (till now at least) the same.

But how you get insights completely changed and for the better. If you are not integrating AI in your SEO then it's time to.
