How to plan strategy for publishing articles for better authority?

Hi, hope you are all well.

I have 2 websites and plan to open another one, and one thing has stuck on my mind last few days, how strategically to publish articles for better authority?

Should i post first most important in depth written article and then post smaller articles and link to the main?Or vise versa?

And what about categories of the niche, first finish with one category then start other? for example at the beginning book reviews then authors of books and so one...?

I came accross words topical silo, can you give me a real example and share something that i havent asked but is important?

I wouldd start with the pillar content first, then build supporting articles around it instead of publishing randomly. Also, dont wait to "finish" one category before starting another grow each topical cluster over time with internal links connecting them

If your goal is to build authority I'd recommend starting with a pillar article that covers the main topic in depth. Then publish smaller related articles that go into specific subtopics and link them back to the main guide. This is what people usually mean by a topical silo or topic cluster.

For example if your niche is books, create a pillar article like "The Complete Guide to Mystery Books" then publish supporting articles such as Best Mystery Books Top Mystery Authors and Best Mystery Book Series all linking to each other where relevant.

I alway begin by laying out the content first. the pillar post serves as the structure but it is necesary to consider the other posts that tackle certain question as they often serve as long tail trafic magnets

i'd start by choosing one topic and covering it from different angles instead of publishing random articles. consistent publishing schedule and strong internal linking can gradually build authority and make the content more useful for readers....

I'd make the supporting articles at least 700 - 1000 words. Around 300 - 400 words is usually too thin unless the topic is very narrow.
