Hey all,
Sometimes i feel SEO discussions have become too complicated while the basics still seem to work well. Do you think people are overthinking SEO or has it really become that complex?
Curious to hear different options.

Hey everyone
Sometimes I feel those threads were created by bots

bro, we are absolutely overcomplicating the discussion around SEO, but the reality is that the actual day-to-day execution has gotten undeniably tougher because Google is trying to hit moving targets with AI and conversational search.

Yes bro, SEO is now somewhat complicated than ever but it isn't that much complicated if you know SEO well and the basics of GEO and AEO since times are evolving and era of AI is overcoming so better align SEO with AI for better optimization...

I think it's a bit of both. The fundamentals still matter the most, but people often get distracted by every new trend or metric. In my experience, solid content, good site structure, and relevant backlinks are still hard to beat.

Honestly i think the basics still matter more than people realize. Good content a solid site structure and relevant backlinks continue to work.the tools and algorithms keep changing but the core principles haven't changed as much as many people think....

Yes, in 2026, the most successful SEO still relies on consistently implementing the fundamentals rather than chasing every new trend.

I think the fundamentals still matter most; quality content, solid technical SEO, and relevant backlinks. The algorithms have evolved, but many people overcomplicate SEO instead of consistently doing the basics well.

SEO has changed, but the fundamentals haven't. It's easy to get distracted by every new trend instead of focusing on what consistently works.

There's a lot of noise around SEO in 2026. New tools and AI are helpful, but they're just part of the process. In the end, creating useful content and building a trustworthy website still matters more than chasing every new tactic.

seo has definitely become more complex, but the fundamentals still matter most. quality content, solid technical seo, and relevant backlinks continue to produce the best results.

SEO is now advanced with the introduction of AI, constant google updates, and changes in search engine results pages however the core principles hold their ground. In my opinion, SEO is half science and half art. Publishing regular quality content fulfilling the search intent and having a website with proper technical optimization is enough. Majority of people chase trends in order to optimize themselves.

In 2026, the fundamentals still matter most: create genuinely useful content, satisfy user intent, ensure a fast and accessible website, and build trust. Advanced tactics can help, but many people overcomplicate SEO by chasing algorithm changes instead of focusing on consistent quality and a good user experience.

Honestly, I think the basics still matter the most. High quality content, a good user experience, relevant backlinks, and solid on-page SEO continue to drive results. SEO has evolved a lot, but many people make it overly complex, chasing every new trend and sidestepping the fundamentals. And when they do that, performance tends to wobble, even if the strategy looks busy.

A lot of the Confusion comes from people trying to predict every Algorithm Change, I prefer focusing on what I can actually improve instead of chasing every new SEO Trend.

I'd say it's a mix of both. SEO has definitely changed over the years, but I also think people sometimes make it more complicated than it needs to be. At the end of the day, creating helpful content, keeping your site easy to use, and building trust still matter the most. The basics haven't stopped working you just need to adapt them to today's search landscape.

even though SEO is geting more prominent the essence of it is stil simple – understand your user ofer even more to him, and create a website worthy of respect. It is not only about the basics it is all about moving forward from them.

I think people overcomplicate SEO sometimes. The basics like good content, proper keywords, and a fast website still matter a lot.

Too many people tend to overcomplicate things. It’s the basics that make up for the majority of work: quality content, effective internal links, and acquiring true authority. Advanced methods are merely a cherry on top of an already well-constructed cake
