This might sound like an easy question but not sure about it. A post with a million views great but if it does not bring followers, leads or sales then how valuable is it really? On the other hand a small but loyal audience often interacts with every post and supports long term growth.
Which would you choose and why?

1 million views, easy, just turn those views into followers, and you will have a hell of a lot more than 100 followers.
 
A highly engaged audience is usually far more valuable in the long run than a viral post that doesn't lead to meaningful interactions or results.

Naturally, I would choose the sustainable development approach. I believe that 100 followers can bring me more.

If a post gets 1M views, you'd normally expect well over 100 followers. That usually means the content has strong reach and engagement.

Why choose? You can get both.
Among the people who view your posts, there are certainly some who find your content interesting and relevant to them.
If you continue to create new content based on this idea, you will build a potential customer base.

having viral numbers is important for many, but success comes from following these views. creating an audience that you are able to reach out to and trust your informtion with will have much better outcome
 
100 loyal over a mil views any day, views don't pay bills conversions do

that is indeed a great point, but if you're running a service agency or selling high ticket products, 100 loyal clients completely beat 1 million views, because vanity metrics don't feed the business
 
Views > Followers all day long now. The current FB algo operates exactly like TikTok. It is interest-based, not follower-based. Followers are basically a vanity metric at this point.
If u get 1M views, it proves your content hook and retention are solid enough for the algo to push it out. Out of that 1M random traffic, u can easily funnel them into sales or leads if your monetization setup is right. 100 loyal fans wont scale your business, but hitting the algorithmic recommendation pool over and over will.
