For me, updating existing content and improving internal linking has delivered the most consistent SEO results lately.

What I have seen is that improvement of already existing webpages can yield quick results than always creating new webpages. Webpages which have some no of impressions but no or low click-throughs and improving them in terms of intent matching and structure can do wonders.
 
One thing that really helped was spending more time on keyword research. Finding low competition keywords with clear search intent has brought me steady traffic over time.
 
Another area where I have found success is by optimizing the pages which are close to being successful. Small tweaks such as making intent match more accurate and correecting old information on the page will sometimes yield better results than creating new content.

For me, the biggest improvement has come from focusing on search intent rather than just keywords. I've had better results by updating existing content, making it more comprehensive, and strengthening internal links between related pages. Pairing that with a few relevant, high-quality backlinks has been much more effective than chasing the latest SEO trend.
 
I feel like lately it's more about AI search optimization. Like to answer a search intent so the AI Search, Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT Search and Perplexity could work well. And if you make your SEO this way it won't look artificial cause you're just answering the question.
