Hi. I ran into an interesting situation while going through Telegram Ads moderation. Maybe you can help me figure out what's going on. I run 2 Telegram channels with completely identical content, the only difference being that they are in different languages. I tried to create campaigns for both of these channels. For one, the creatives pass moderation within a couple of hours, for the other, rejections come after a couple of days, and it's always 'destination quality.' Considering the content is identical, just in a different language, I can't understand the reasons for the constant rejections.

What's your setup? What country are you from?
As I mentioned above I'm using absolutely real setup. Default laptop, my real personal account. I had many started companies from this account before.

Yeah that's bizarre. No proxy/VPN or anything?
Nope. Totally clear setup. As I said one of two channels passes moderation. Second one (with identical content on another language) doesn't. If my setup would have some problems no one would pass I guess.

Have you spoken to TGs support? What was their answer for this?

Even if the content is identical. telegram may review each language separately. Sometimes certain words, translations or the way the text is written can trigger a different moderation result. I would compare the rejected version line with the approved one and simplify any promotional wording.

I get rejection with "destination quality" reason so the problem is inside channel I guess.

That's odd. If the content is the same, I'd be looking at the destination channel itself rather than the ad. Even small differences in the channel profile or history might be enough to trigger "destination quality." Curious if anyone else has run into this.

For destination quality issue please follow these steps below,
Note: These steps guide is provided by Telegram itself,

"Destination quality

Ad destinations must have quality, original content and provide a proper user experience. Particularly, the following applies:

  • Telegram channels and bots must have both a profile image and a complete text in their ‘about’ or ‘description’ section.
  • Bots must be beneficial to the user and are expected to provide a user experience and interfaces that are consistent with the capabilities of the Bot Platform.
  • Destinations using excessive CAPITALIZATION, highlighting, emoji, punctuation (exclamation marks etc.) or strong language are not allowed.

I hope this helps you, Thank you.

Well I already saw Telegram's rules xD

Even with identical content, certain translated words may trigger different moderation rules. It’s worth reviewing the wording and trying alternative phrasing.

Hi poperdelly,

A "destination quality" rejection isn't about your creative, it's about the channel the ad points to. Two channels with the same content in different languages aren't the same destination to a reviewer, so they can score very differently.

A few things usually drive that gap:
Channel signals: subscriber count and how those people behave, the view to subscriber ratio, posting consistency, the channel's age, and whether it's ever been reported. If the two channels differ on any of these, one clears and the other gets held.
• The "hours vs days" split is a tell. The fast one cleared automated checks, the slow one got pushed to manual review, and manual is where "destination quality" usually lands.
• Language matters more than it looks. A line that reads as normal in one language can read as thin or policy edge in another once a reviewer or the localized filter sees it. Superlatives and medical or financial wording travel unevenly.
• You said the account is your own established, warmed one, so the flag isn't account side. "Destination quality" points at the channel itself, so tuning the creative alone won't move it.

What I'd check: put the two channels side by side on the real signals, the engagement ratio, posting cadence, external links in recent posts, the description and the pinned message. Then read the rejected channel's recent posts again for anything that lands thin or borderline in that language, clean those up, let the channel show some genuine engagement, and resubmit. Approval is always Telegram's call, but with "destination quality" the lever is the destination, not the ad.

Best,
Floqal

What about the number of subscribers? Are the different? I've encountered channels with low subscriber counts and low engagment being blocked by moderation

this is because telegram Ads moderation can be strict mainly for finance, crypto, gambling, health, or anything that sounds promotional.
